Ensure you pay the correct rate for Statutory Sick Pay and Family Friendly Benefits with our current statutory rates checker.

From April 2017

From 2nd April the following figures are applicable:

  • SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) is £89.35 per week (note: from 6th April 2017).
  • ShPP (Statutory Shared Parental Pay) will be paid at £140.98 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) is 90% of average weekly earnings for the first 6 weeks. For the remaining 33 weeks the rate is £140.98 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SAP (Statutory Adoption Pay) is 90% of employees average weekly earnings for the first 6 weeks. The remaining weeks will be paid at £140.98 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SPP (Statutory Paternity Pay) will be paid at £140.98 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.

From 6th April the following figures are applicable:

  • SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) is £88.45 per week.
  • ShPP (Statutory Shared Parental Pay) will be paid at £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) is 90% of average weekly earnings for the first 6 weeks. For the remaining 33 weeks the rate is £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SAP (Statutory Adoption Pay) is 90% of employees average weekly earnings for the first 6 weeks. The remaining weeks will be paid at £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SPP (Statutory Paternity Pay) will be paid at £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.

From April 2015

From 5th April the following figures are applicable:

  • SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) is £88.45 per week.
  • ShPP (Statutory Shared Parental Pay) will be paid at £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) is 90% of average weekly earnings for the first 6 weeks. For the remaining 33 weeks the rate is £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SAP (Statutory Adoption Pay) is 90% of employees average weekly earnings. The remaining weeks will be paid at £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SPP (Statutory Paternity Pay) will be paid at £139.58 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.

From April 2014

From 6th April the following figures are applicable:

  • SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) is £87.55 per week.
  • SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) is 90% of average weekly earnings for the first 6 weeks. For the remaining 33 weeks the rate is £138.18 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SAP (Statutory Adoption Pay) will be paid at £138.18 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
  • SPP (Statutory Paternity Pay) will be paid at £138.18 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
