Job Description Building Tool

This tool is designed to help managers build job descriptions across a firm that are highly consistent and hence of good quality. The tool takes the manager through a standardised format of:

  • Job Purpose
  • Job Scope and Metrics
  • Job Accountabilities and Responsiblities
  • Relationships with Others
  • Job Context and Environment
  • Job Complexity
  • Job Timelines.

Once completed, the manager receives an email of the complete job description as developed. This can then be copied and pasted into the manager's own JD format or into a standard format that we provide.

How to use this tool

You can click now to enter the tool. This gives an example of the first few screens. To use the tool, email or call us for a quotation for the work you intend doing and we'll email you a code to use. As a guide, we charge £35 per job description built. We can also work with you online or face-to-face to help you complete any projects to build and evaluate multiple jobs.

Once you have the code, you can access help guides such as the list of action words (useful for building accountabilities) and the example finished JD and associated template, should your firm not already have one.
